Oklahoma City Thunder rookie Chet Holmgren continued a busy summer on the court by linking up with Kevin Durant, Trae Young and others at a recent run.
Of course, Holmgren missed all of last season with a foot injury. He was eventually cleared to return to game action and played in four games with the Thunder in summer league, averaging 16.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, two assists and one steal.
The former second pick was spotted by “Through the Lens” competing against Durant, Young and Lonnie Walker IV at Campbell High School in Los Angeles. He went up against Durant on a couple of possessions.
Holmgren also suited up with the USA Basketball select team earlier this month ahead of the FIBA Basketball World Cup. He practiced against the senior roster ahead of the event and even helped the select team earn a couple of wins in some scrimmages.
The 21-year-old looks to be returning to his pre-injury form after participating in several events this summer. He appears poised to be one of the top rookies this season and should be in store for a strong year with the Thunder.
