Watch: Chase Claypool’s Huge Day in Numbers vs. Navy

The four touchdowns on the day brought Claypool’s career total at Notre Dame to 15, which means his four today accounted for 26.6% of his career scores.  His season total also jumped from five to nine (44.4% total).

Leading 7-0 already with just over three minutes remaining in the first half it was Ian Book again looking for what has become his favorite target, none other than Chase Claypool who brought in the longest reception of his four-year career.

Just over five minutes later Claypool hit the trifecta, pulling in his third touchdown reception and putting the Irish up 21-0.

Finally, Claypool put the icing on the cake with his fourth touchdown on the afternoon, making the score 45-3.  It was one of the best balls Book has thrown this season and the talented Claypool made an incredibly athletic move to not just pull the ball in, but to get his feet down in-bounds as well.
