The Frenchman scored a career-high 7 treys in his first big game as a Celtic.

Boston Celtics veteran shooting guard Evan Fournier finally had his first big game with his new team after being traded to the Celtics from the Orlando Magic at the 2021 NBA trade deadline.

It came in Boston’s 118 – 102 obliteration of the Houston Rockets at TD Garden on Friday, with Fournier scoring a career-high 7 of his 11 3-point attempts on his way to scoring 23 points on 8-of-13 shooting overall in 30 minutes of floor time off the bench. The Frenchman pulled down 2 boards for good measure while turning the ball over twice and fouling 3 times in an outstanding performance for Boston.

“I’m going to enjoy my glass of wine tonight and I’m going to sleep very well,” joked Fournier after the game.
