WATCH: Celtics’ Jayson Tatum asks fans to be patient with Boston in new interview with Shams Charania

Given what he and the Celtics have shown so far, it is prudent advice.

Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum did not exactly have the start to the 2021-22 NBA season with his Celtics that he and his fans hoped but have since made major strides in inching towards contention status with league-leading defense under the tutelage of the NBA’s Eastern Conference Coach of the Month Ime Udoka.

The Celtics went 9 – 2 in the month of February — their best record in that month in decades — due to that growth and the diversification of the offense made possible by trade deadline moves, and appear to be turning the proverbial corner. And in a recent interview with The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the St’ Louis native continued to preach patience.

Check out the exchange for yourself in the clip embedded above to hear the talk for yourself.
