WATCH: Celtics Aaron Nesmith, Payton Pritchard wrap up their rookie season

The duo have turned out to be a solid pair of picks from the 2020 NBA draft.

Their inaugural regular-season campaign officially in the books, it’s safe to say that the two players the Boston Celtics selected to play with the team in the 2020-21 NBA season have proven themselves to be solid selections with plenty of potential to grow into impactful players in the world’s most competitive basketball league.

That duo — Aaron Nesmith out of Vanderbilt and Payton Pritchard out of Oregon — have established themselves in the team’s rotation heading into the postseason despite each having rough patches at different points in the season. Pritchard has averaged 7.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game while shooting 41.1% from 3, and Nesmith 4.7 points and 2.8 boards per contest while hitting on 37% of his treys.

Both have also secured a shoe deal in their rookie campaign, and figure to be a significant part of the team’s depth moving forward.
