WATCH: Celtics’ Aaron Nesmith gets 13 points, 3 boards vs. Miami Heat (11/4)

The Vanderbilt product was a key part of Boston’s big road win Thursday.

For pretty much the entirety of their rough start to the 2021-22 NBA season, the Boston Celtics have needed engaged, energetic defense and more perimeter shooting to mix up opposing team’s assessments of their moribund, two-man offensive punch, and they got plenty of both in their big road win against the Miami Heat on Thursday.

Perhaps no other player brought more shooting and energy to the team than second-year forward Aaron Nesmith, who put up 13 points, 3 rebounds, and an assist in 18 minutes off of the bench, recording just 1 personal foul and 0 turnovers while shooting 5-of-8 from the floor and 3 of 5 from the free-throw line.

To see Nesmith terrorizing the Heat on defense while draining treys on the other end of the court, watch the highlight clip put together by fan YouTuber Tomasz Kordylewski embedded below.
