Boston Celtics rookie floor general Payton Pritchard wasn’t able to suit up against the Sacramento Kings on the Celtics second game of their current west coast road trip, but he’s looking like he’s almost ready to take the floor.
The Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn shared a video of the Oregon product getting up some shots at the Golden 1 Center arena with some pep in his step and fluidity to his movement. The first-year point guard has been a key part of Boston’s rotation early in the 2020-21 NBA season — even tipping in a game-winner against the Miami Heat — so getting the West Linn native back in the fold will be a big boost with veteran guard Marcus Smart out.

Watch the clip embedded above to see how he looks for yourself — we might see the rookie back on the court as soon as Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
