Exactly one year ago on this very day, Boston Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown became the youngest player in franchise history to score at least 30 points in a Christmas Day game.
The impressive feat came in an equally-impressive 118 – 102 win over the defending champion Toronto Raptors, and saw the Georgia native score a total of 30 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in just under 35 minutes of playing time. Just 23 years old at the time, Brown tied Celtic legend Jo Jo White for the eighth-most points scored on the holiday in franchise history, trailing only Tommy Heinsohn, Kyrie Irving, Bob Cousy, Bill Russell and Rajon Rondo.

Rarified air for a player still on his rookie contract, the Cal-Berkeley product will have a chance to go for even more on that day later this afternoon when the Brooklyn Nets face off with Boston — and Brown with former teammate Irving on his new team.
Watch the video embedded above if you want to relive that glorious performance — or to get yourself in the right headspace for today’s game.
