Michigan State football used a stifling defensive effort and a critical interception from cornerback Charles Brantley to shut out Prairie View A&M on Saturday.
Michigan State improved to 3-0 on the year thanks to a 40-0 victory over the Panthers on Saturday afternoon. The Spartans are 3-0 for the first time in three years.
Brantley made one of the notable highlight plays of the day when he returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown. He had an interception for a touchdown called off earlier in the drive due to a penalty and then topped that with an even better play later on.
Michigan State will head to Boston College next week to wrap-up non-conference play. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
Before turning our focus to the Eagles, hear what Brantley had to say about the Spartans’ victory over Prairie View A&M below.
