Okay, fine—we’ll go back to Steph Curry comparisons.
In a practice session that was mostly dominated by the defense, Carolina Panthers rookie quarterback Bryce Young was able to slip in a few eye-opening plays himself on Saturday morning. One of those plays, in fact, is awfully reminiscent of one of his biggest fans.

The look-away shot has become a patented move for the two-time Most Valuable Player, four-time NBA champion and Panthers superfan. Heck, here’s just one of many highlight reels of the legendary smoothness:
So, maybe Young got a bit of inspiration from Curry—whom he actually praised the day after he was drafted.
“Definitely have a tremendous amount of respect for him as a player and as a person,” Bryce said of Steph back on April 28. “Someone I definitely look up to. And yeah, I’m well aware of him being a part of the fanbase, so it’s super cool.”
Oh, and here’s the other eye-opener from Saturday:
