After the best year of his great career so far, Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett finally lifted the Defensive Player of the Year award for the 2023 season. During his speech, he made sure to thank everyone in the Browns organization as well as his family.
At the end of the speech, he said something that will likely stick with Browns fans until next season. He said that the award is for the city of Cleveland and that next time it’ll be something bigger being brought back to the fans.
It is clear when you listen to players and coaches in the organization that this group feels like the foundation for consistent success has been laid already. Heading into the offseason this regime will be going on their fifth season together which is something we haven’t seen with the Browns in a long time.
Next up the Browns will begin looking deeper into the draft and free agency to take the next step in 2024.
"To the city of Cleveland, this one's for you."
