Just days after playing 92 defensive snaps against the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins second-year safety Jevon Holland played another 63 against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday.
Holland’s five tackles were tied for the fourth-most on Miami’s defense, but his impact was felt on many more plays than just the five that he recorded tackles on.
Former NFL offensive lineman-turned-analyst Brian Baldinger used his “Baldy Breakdown” on Friday morning to highlight Holland’s performance against Joe Burrow and company.
.@MiamiDolphins @HollywoodVon was everywhere last night…No negative affects of playing 100+ snaps 4 days before. Did the Fins really travel sideline heaters for this game? #finsup #BaldysBreakdowns pic.twitter.com/yaCh5MFjfT

Despite being in the league for just over a year, Holland has shown instincts and playmaking ability that have many questioning where his ceiling could be.
“When you have a conversation about the great free safeties in football today it has to include Jevon Holland,” Baldinger said.
It’s incredibly impressive to see just how much responsibility he’s taken on for this defense and this team as a leader. His play on the field makes his presence that much more important.
