The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees begin the second half of the 2021 MLB season Thursday with the renewal of their AL East rivalry. First pitch will be at 7:08 p.m. ET at Yankee Stadium. Below, SportsGrid previews the Red Sox-Yankees matchup from a betting perspective.
The Red Sox went into the All-Star break at 55-36 and with a 1.5-game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East. The Yankees are just 46-43 and tied with the Toronto Blue Jays while trailing the BoSox by eight games.
