WATCH: Boston coach Brad Stevens explains Lakers-Celtics rivalry

It’s always a big deal when these two rivals square off, as they will Saturday night.

While there won’t be any fans in the arena to cheer and boo as historic rivals duke out yet another meeting between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers — and possibly no LeBron James or Anthony Davis, depending on how their injury report status pans out — a game between Boston and Los Angeles is always worth the watch.

Celtics head coach Brad Stevens spoke with the media after a Celtics practice on Friday ahead of the next installment of their ongoing battles with the Lakers, talking up the significance of the two teams meeting at TD Garden — or anywhere, for that matter.

And while we’ll have to survive on fake crowd noise and yelling at our screens together but apart, we tend to think at least some of that atmosphere will still be there even if the fans are not.

Watch the video embedded above to hear Stevens thoughts on the classic matchup, set to tip off at 8:30 p.m. eastern time tonight, Jan. 30.
