Boston Celtics third-year forward Semi Ojeleye has been quietly piecing together the best season of his young career, cut short by the same pandemic that threw the entire league for a loop in early March.
The product of Southern Methodist University is shooting a career-high 36.7 % from beyond the arc while providing the same impenetrable wall as always as a defensive-minded swingman who is among a very elite club of NBA players able to slow some of the league’s most dangerous forwards.
Averaging 3.1 points, and 2 rebounds per game over 14.6 minutes of game time, the former Mustang has flirted with becoming more of a two-way threat more this season than at any point in his career, especially in the month of March, when he shot 41.2 % from deep and averaged 6.8 points per game.
Watch the video embedded above to see all of the highlights from Ojeleye’s 2019-20 season so far — we’re just hours away from seeing Muscles Jesus back on the parquet again.
