Punctuated by his historic 53-point, 10-rebound game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on April 9, Boston Celtics All-NBA forward Jayson Tatum earned himself East Player of the Week honors for the week of April 5 – 11.
That also included a 20-point outing against the Philadelphia 76ers on April 6, 25 points, 10 boards and 5 assists vs. the New York Knicks on April 7, and 28 points and 10 rebounds against the Denver Nuggets on April 11. The St. Louis native has burst back into elite form this week, and has been no small part of the reason why the Celtics have won three in a row and look to be turning a corner in terms of finding their way as a team.
And truth be told, it’s been a pleasure to watch, his second such honor this season richly deserved.
