Given he had not played high-level basketball of any time for over a year due to an injury and the pandemic, perhaps it shouldn’t have been a surprise it took Boston Celtics rookie small forward Aaron Nesmith a while to get up to speed playing in a new and faster, more skilled league.

But, the Vanderbilt product has come on strong to work his way into the team’s rotation in the month of April. Since the start of last month, he has increasingly looked comfortable playing at NBA-speed games, and has averaged 4.8 points and 2.8 rebounds per game over 11.3 minutes of floor time, while shooting .500 from the field and a very good 40.9% from beyond the arc.

Absolute sniper indeed.
