Lamb hasn’t participated in the Cowboys offseason as he looks to get a new contract. He’s entering the fifth-year option portion of his rookie deal, a feature where NFL teams can keep a rookie at their own discretion without the player agreeing to a negotiated extension. There are multiple levels to the compensation for the option, and as a wideout who has made the Pro Bowl in his first three seasons, Lamb is set to earn $17.99 million.
The top receivers in the game, of which Lamb proved himself in 2023 with a First-Team All-Pro nod, are earning between $30 million and $32 million a season.
Thus far Lamb has accrued $100,000 in fines and he’s indicated he plans on sitting out training camp as well.
