WATCH: Bears’ Justin Fields, Cole Kmet blast home runs at Wrigley Field

Bears QB Justin Fields and TE Cole Kmet proved they’ve still got it after crushing home runs at Wrigley Field.

The Chicago Bears were invited to tour Wrigley Field on Thursday, where some players took in batting practice as their teammates looked on.

Quarterback Justin Fields and tight end Cole Kmet — who both played baseball in high school (and college for Kmet) — showed that they’ve still got it.

Fields and Kmet both blasted home runs at Wrigley Field, as captured by their teammates. And it’s pretty impressive.

Fields played both football and baseball in high school, where he served as a shortstop and batted leadoff. While there was serious interest in Fields playing college baseball, he opted to go the football route.

When Fields transferred from Georgia to Ohio State in 2019, there was talk about him potentially playing baseball for the Buckeyes. But Fields decided to focus solely on football.

Kmet was also a two-sport athlete in both high school and college at Notre Dame. He was a left-handed pitcher and right-handed hitter.

Things certainly worked out for both Fields and Kmet, who were later drafted by the Bears in the first and second round, respectively, in 2021 and 2019.
