After trailing the Milwaukee Bucks by three points at halftime, the Miami Heat used a strong third-quarter effort to carry a six-point lead into the final period in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Heat played sound basketball in the third period to take the lead behind a stout defensive effort. Miami limited Giannis Antetokounmpo to six points in the quarter and held the Bucks to just four points in the paint, an area they often flourish.
Part of the run by the Heat included a fantastic pass by Bam Adebayo. The first-time All-Star found a cutting Kendrick Nunn to lead to an easy bucket with just over a minute left in the quarter.

Adebayo has certainly made a huge improvement this season as he has worked on all areas of his game, including his court vision. He finished as the runner-up to Brandon Ingram in the Most Improved Player race after a strong third season in the NBA.
