Many people regarded five-star WR Ryan Williams’s commitment to the Alabama Crimson Tide as one of the most important in program history. The former five-star stuck with the Tide through the coaching transition of Saban to DeBoer and his debut has been highly anticipated.
Against Western Kentucky, Williams didn’t take long to get friendly with the endzone as he struck on an 84-yard reception from Jalen Milroe in the first quarter to give the Tide a 21-0 lead. Milroe found Williams again right before the half for 55 yards to provide Alabama with a 42-0 lead heading into the break. His day ended with just those two receptions for 139 yards and the two scores to lead the Crimson Tide.
At just 17 years of age, it’s hard to believe he could still be playing another year of high school ball. However, the speedster from Saraland, AL will play a huge role in the Crimson Tide’s Playoff hopes this year.
