The Green Bay Packers spent $118 million – including $36 million – to sign veteran outside linebackers Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith during free agency last March. Their immediate return on investment?
Both Smiths played in all 18 games for the NFC North champions, producing 29.5 combined sacks for the Packers’ rejuvenated pass-rush.
Za’Darius Smith tallied 13.5 sacks during the regular season and another two over two postseason games, while Preston Smith had 12 sacks during the regular season and two more during the postseason.
