The 49ers defense was excellent Saturday, and it came up with a huge stop late against Arizona. Cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon, who allowed a 30-yard run to Kyler Murray when he bit on a fake on fourth-and-2, came up with his first interception of the year two plays later. That gave San Francisco’s offense one more chance to put the game away with a long drive.
