The Los Angeles Rams suffered a lot of key losses this offseason, from Cory Littleton and Dante Fowler Jr. to Todd Gurley and Brandin Cooks. Some of those departures were decisions made by the Rams, but Fowler and Littleton were simply too rich for their wallets.
Where Los Angeles did improve is up front on defense. The team added A’Shawn Robinson in free agency and managed to re-sign Michael Brockers after he agreed to terms with the Ravens, bolstering a stout defensive line.
It’s led by Aaron Donald, of course, who’s undoubtedly the best defensive lineman in the NFL. He’s been working hard during this isolation period due to the coronavirus pandemic, training most days of the week.
The start of the season is still about four months away, but Donald seems ready for it to start now based on this chilling hype video he shared Friday.
Between Donald, Brockers, Robinson, Sebastian Joseph-Day and Greg Gaines, the Rams have a deep rotation of quality defensive linemen up front. It’s a group that’s hard not to get excited about, and the run defense should improve with the arrival of Robinson and return of Brockers.
Donald is itching to get back on the field, just as fans can’t wait for the return of football – whenever that may be.
