Aaron Donald didn’t win his third straight Defensive Player of the Year award in 2019, but he was a Pro Bowler, a first-team All-Pro and led all defensive tackles with 12.5 sacks. Yet, despite all he accomplished, Donald isn’t satisfied and wants to be even better in 2020.
He’s been in the gym since shortly after the season ended, working on his strength in the weight room and agility on the field. Back in Pittsburgh, he showed off his footwork in this drill, looking like someone who weighs 230 pounds and not 280.
Check out how easy he makes this drill look:

Donald is known for having some of the best feet of any pass rusher, which is part of the reason he’s so difficult to block. Coming off the line, his explosiveness and quickness allow him to get just about anywhere he wants in a hurry.
It’s why he’s double teamed more than 70% of the time. One blocker simply can’t contain him and keep him out of the backfield.
