Baker Mayfield scored a touchdown in the fourth quarter that gave the Cleveland Browns a 35-34 lead over the Baltimore Ravens on Monday.
The running TD was the ninth of the game, which equaled a mark set twice … in 1922.
Oct. 15 of that year, the Rock Island Independents defeated the Evansville Crimson Giants, 60-0. Jimmy Gonzelman scored five of the Independents’ rushing TDs.
Weeks later, the Racine Legion duplicated the feat against the Louisville Brecks in a 57-0 win on Nov 5.
