The Washington Huskies earned a commitment from former San Jose State linebacker Bryun Parham in January and the senior is expected to be an important part of defensive coordinator Steve Belichick’s rotation at the position.
Behind seniors Alphonzo Tuputala and Carson Bruener, Parham should see a lot of snaps after linebackers Edefuan Ulofoshio and Ralen Goforth both used their final season of eligibility in 2023.
Parham received a 71.7 grade from Pro Football Focus, placing him at No. 8 among the site’s top transfer linebackers. Not only can the All Mountain-West honorable mention play a significant role on Washington’s defense, but he can also act as another mentor for redshirt freshmen Deven Bryant and Jordan Whitney as they develop under linebackers coach Robert Bala.
He provides a reliable tackler in the middle of the defense with impressive speed that should make him a reliable three-down defender. Parham recorded 106 tackles, 3 pass breakups, 2 forced fumbles, and an interception during his final season with the Spartans and could bring a similar level of production to Montlake.

Under defensive coordinator Johnny Nansen, Fisch’s defense in his final season at Arizona was very good against opposing rushing attacks. The Wildcats finished at No. 27 in the nation, allowing 118.2 rushing yards per game and under Belichick as the Huskies move to the Big Ten, should make a similar commitment to stopping the run.
