Washington’s Alex Smith is active for first time since horrific leg injury

Washington Football Team QB Alex Smith is active for the first time since his leg injury in 2018

There has been all sorts of troubling news in the NFL with COVID-19 turning the schedule into chaos. Time to mention something everyone should appreciate and celebrate:

Alex Smith is active today as the backup quarterback for the Washington Football Team. It is the first time the former No. 1 overall pick of the San Francisco 49ers has been active since suffering a horrific leg injury in November 2018.

Smith will be backing up Kyle Allen, who is replacing the benched Dwayne Haskins.
