The Memphis Grizzlies (6-3) welcome the Washington Wizards (4-5) to FedEx Forum Sunday. Tip is set for 6 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Wizards vs. Grizzlies odds, and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
The Grizzlies are coming into this game as 1 of just 3 teams in the Western Conference with a perfect record at home (3-0). They have won 2 straight games, a 111-106 win Wednesday over the Portland Trail Blazers and a 130-99 thrashing of the Charlotte Hornets on Friday.
Memphis is led by star G Ja Morant, who is averaging 29 points per game and shooting 51% from the field. G Desmond Bane is averaging 24.1 points per game.
The Wizards will be down their star on Sunday with G Bradley Beal, who is averaging a team-high 21.6 points per game, in the league’s health and safety protocols.
After getting out to an ultra-hot start, the Wizards have now lost 4 of their last 5. However, they are still 2-2 on the road. They lost 128-86 to the Brooklyn Nets at home on Friday.

There’s just not much value here either way.
Against the spread
BET MEMPHIS -9.5 (-112).
While it might seem like a lot of points calling almost a double-digit victory, Memphis will be at home with the Wizards down their best player. Three of the Grizzlies’ 5 wins have been by double figures.
They are also the best offensive rebounding team in the league. Where Washington can’t keep up is just straight-up efficient with the Grizzlies 10th in effective field goal rate and the Wizards 21st.
Memphis is 2-1 ATS as a home favorite, and with a similar roster, it was 20-13 ATS as home favorite last season. Back the Grizzlies to come out by double figures
Over/Under
LEAN UNDER 225.5 (-110).
Simply put, I don’t know where the Wizards scoring will come from. While F Kyle Kuzma and C Kristaps Porzingis are solid options, neither have the firepower that Beal does.
While Memphis does crash the glass, Washington sits 4th in defensive rebounding, so it should be able tame the Grizzlies’ 2nd-chance opportunities.
Neither team sits top 10 in pace either with the Wizards 27th. Back fewer points being scored as the inefficient Wizards should struggle against Memphis.
