The Clippers’ most recent outing was also a loss to the Lakers, a 116-112 defeat Wednesday with the Under (236.5) cashing at Crypto.com Arena. The Clippers blew a 21-point, 2nd-half lead and were outscored 39-16 in the 4th quarter, failing to cover as 1.5-point favorites.
In a Jan. 31 meeting, the Clippers covered as 10-point favorites with a 125-109 win at Washington as the Under (236) hit. F Kawhi Leonard had 31 points, G James Harden added 25 and the Clippers outscored the Wizards 40-19 in the 3rd quarter.

The Clippers (-1400) should win, but I wouldn’t recommend dumping your bankroll on it. Markets that are -110 on both sides are easier to beat long-term.
PASS. Lay the points and/or bet the total instead.
Against the spread
It pains me to bet double-digit favorites, but this is a great spot for the Clippers. They’re coming off an embarrassing loss to the bigger brand in Los Angeles and are catching the Wizards on a back-to-back off an OT loss.
The Wizards almost pulled off the upset Thursday, but they needed season-highs in points from both Poole and Bagley just to stay competitive — not likely to happen again. Washington should struggle to keep it close against the better Los Angeles team on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
BET CLIPPERS -15.5 (-105).
Over/Under
The Wizards defense was horrendous against the Lakers, allowing 126 points in regulation to the 18th-ranked team in offensive efficiency this season. The Clippers are 5th in offensive efficiency and should be able to put up at least 126 points against this Wizards team on no rest.
However, the Wizards have averaged just 104.5 points against the Clippers in the past 4 meetings. I want to bet the Over, but this number is just a bit too high for me. I’m going to wait and see if I can find a 236.5 or lower closer to tip-off.
