The Washington Football Team selected North Carolina wide receiver Dyami Brown with the No. 82 overall pick of the 2021 NFL draft.
Brown was a third-team All-American in 2020 and is an excellent deep-ball receiver. He has an opportunity to contribute immediately for Washington in 2021.
At just under 6-foot-1, 189 pounds, Brown is a big play waiting to happen. He is the first wide receiver in North Carolina history to register two seasons of at least 50 receptions and 1,000 yards receiving. He did it in both 2019 and 2020 for the Tar Heels.
In those two seasons, Brown has averaged 20 yards per reception.
Brown joins a wide receiver room that now includes Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel, Adam Humphries, Antonio Gandy-Golden, Cam Sims, and Kelvin Harmon. Harmon is returning from a torn ACL after showing promise during his 2019 rookie season.
Brown adds another dimension to Washington’s offense. And, the team speed keeps improving.
Overall, this was a good night for the Washington Football Team.
