The Washington Football Team is activating a 21-day window for Pro-Bowl RG Brandon Scherff to return from the injured reserve, where he has spent the past few weeks with an injury. This does not mean that Scherff will return to the field right away, but rather that he is eligible to return to the active roster whenever deemed healthy enough to do so.
This couldn’t come at a better time for Washington, who has been reeling on the offensive line in Scherff’s absence. Wes Schweitzer has been plugged into the RG spot, while Wes Martin continues to struggle at the LG spot. It seems incredibly likely that Washington moves Schweitzer over to the LG spot when Scherff takes his place at RG once again.
We will keep an eye on the injury report to see how quickly Scherff progresses this week, but it’s officially time to start watching for his return.
