Washington Redskins select RB Antonio Gibson with No. 66 pick in NFL Draft

With the No. 66 pick in the draft, the Washington Redskins got a player who will have a chance to crack the starting rotation right out of the gate.

After a slam-dunk start to the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday night, the Washington Redskins kept the ball rolling with the selection of RB Antonio Gibson with their third-round pick.

RB wasn’t a major area of need for the Redskins entering the offseason, and though they added a few players at the position in free agency with the signings of Peyton Barber and J.D. McKissic, this pick will do wonders for the depth chart.

Gibson was a solid player in college at Memphis. and he acted as a swiss army knife of types with a great ability to catch passes out of the backfield. He will now have a chance to crack the starting lineup in Washington and contribute meaningful minutes right out of the gates in his rookie season.
