Washington Football Team quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick departed the team’s Week 1 game against the Los Angeles Chargers after suffering an apparent injury.
The hit occurred around the nine-minute mark in the second quarter after Fitzpatrick was driven into the ground on his right side — his throwing arm.

Before exiting the game, Fitzpatrick completed three of six passes for 13 yards. He was sacked once and pressured on multiple occasions.
Taylor Heinicke entered the game at quarterback on a 2nd-and-10 and missed on his first two attempts.
It’s going to be difficult for any Washington quarterback to succeed with the offensive line’s struggles in the first half. Both left tackle Charles Leno and right tackle Sam Cosmi have had their issues blocking LA’s pass rushers.
Washington has announced Fitzpatrick is questionable to return with a right hip injury.
