Washington offers three-star Texas Tech commit

Jedd Fisch’s coaching staff continues to reach into Texas in search of reinforcements in the secondary.

The Washington Huskies are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for reinforcements in the secondary. On Thursday, cornerbacks coach John Richardson extended an offer to three-star cornerback Ramonz Adams, who has been committed to Texas Tech since November 2023.

It appears Adams, who holds 10 offers, is still exploring all his options despite his commitment, as he took an official visit to Boston College on May 31. The 6-foot-1, 160-pound product of Bastrop High School in Texas has a promising frame and is ranked as the nation’s No. 64 cornerback by 247Sports.

Washington is set to host three-star cornerbacks Larue Zamorano and D’Aryhian Clemons for their official visits on June 21 and if one or both opt to take their talents elsewhere, Richardson could push hard to flip Adams away from the Red Raiders.

Adams stars on both sides of the ball at Bastrop but has a higher ceiling on defense. His impressive long speed and instincts in coverage should translate to the college level and could develop well under Richardson’s watchful eye if he were to choose Washington.

After two of Washington’s top targets at the position, Daryus Dixson and Adonyss Currie committed to Penn State and Texas A&M respectively, Richardson has had to look for some other options in the 2025 class, adding Adams to his list of targets.
