Jedd Fisch isn’t afraid to take big swings on the recruiting trail.
That trend continued on Wednesday, as the Huskies extended an offer to IMG Academy edge rusher Elijah Golden, a four-star recruit in the 2026 class. Golden is currently ranked as the No. 17 defensive lineman and No. 160 overall player in the class by the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Michigan and Notre Dame are also pursuing Golden, the former of whom extended their own offer to the pass rusher in late July. He called Michigan his “dream college” when announcing the offer on July 31. In an interview with 247Sports earlier in July, Golden also mentioned potential visits to Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, and Ohio State.
Fisch and company are looking to make an impression quickly on the explosive pass rusher, who has said he plans on committing to a school before his senior season next fall. The Huskies are also still strongly in the hunt for top 2026 edge rusher Derek Colman-Brusa, the No. 1 player in Washington and younger brother of offensive line commit Lowen Colman-Brusa.
Washington currently has two commitments in the 2026 class: four-star running back Ansu Sanoe from Oregon and kicker CJ Wallace out of St. John Bosco in California.
