Four-star Bonita High School athlete Dylan Robinson is set to announce his commitment on Thursday, where he will choose between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, UCLA Bruins, and Washington Huskies. The nation’s No. 8 athlete and No. 198 overall player according to 247Sports is one of the most coveted players on the West Coast and holds 18 offers.
On Wednesday, On3’s director of recruiting Chad Simmons logged a prediction for Jedd Fisch and the Huskies to land Robinson’s commitment. Cornerbacks coach John Richardson would love to have the 6-foot-3, 190-pound prospect on an island thanks to his fluid movement skills, but if he were to choose Washington he could thrive on either side of the ball.
“Defense seems to be his most natural fit,” Huskies Wire’s Ben Glassmire said. “He’s an excellent ball tracker (something that allows him to star on offense) and thrives with his length and physicality as a defender. He also has a slighter frame, but isn’t afraid to come downhill and work against screens when needed.”
The Huskies currently have two commits in the secondary in three-star cornerbacks D’Aryhian Clemons and Ramonz Adams, and could benefit greatly from adding Robinson to the nation’s No. 19 class if Simmons’ prediction comes true.
