Washington lands four-star receiver who was a former USC commit

Washington lags behind #USC and @Ducks_Wire in 2024 recruiting. Will this pickup change the landscape?

Jason Robinson — a 5-foot-11, 160-pound wide receiver from Long Beach, California — announced a verbal commitment to Washington over the weekend, following an official visit.

“You can’t stop the REIGN!!” Robinson tweeted, alongside a commitment graphic.

Long Beach Poly High School wide receiver Jason Robinson had narrowed his list down to 10 schools. The 2024 three-star prospect’s list included BYU, Cal, Colorado, Florida State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Syracuse, Utah, and USC but Washington came in as the winner by ultimately landing Robinson.

The four-star prospect in the 247Sports composite was rated the No. 414 overall prospect and No. 40 wide receiver. Robinson is the No. 50 wide receiver in the 247Sports rankings. Robinson recorded 46 receptions for 671 yards and five touchdowns in his junior season.

Robinson is just Washington’s second verbal commit in the 2024 class, joining four-star offensive lineman Paki Finau. It will be fascinating to see how much ground Washington can make up in the 2024 class, given how much momentum and high-end quality USC and Oregon have both accumulated.
