Washington is firmly in the race for four-star Madden Faraimo

The Washington Huskies are still firmly among the suitors for one of the best defenders on the West Coast.

Don’t count the Washington Huskies out in the recruitment of J Serra Catholic prospect Madden Faraimo. The four-star hybrid defender is one of the best players in the country, ranked as the nation’s No. 59 prospect by the 247Sports Composite, and is listed as a linebacker or safety by most recruiting outlets.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound recruit holds 20 offers and is zeroing in on his top schools. Faraimo has set official visits to Notre Dame, Texas, and Ohio State along with Washington and is picking a date with USC to round out his summer plans.

His first trip will be to Seattle, where he will arrive on May 31 along with seven other four-star recruits in what has turned into Washington’s most important recruiting weekend in recent memory. Coach Jedd Fisch has placed extreme emphasis on the 2025 class and with so many blue-chip prospects expected to visit including Faraimo, it’s time for Washington’s coaching staff to earn some commitments.

Fisch will probably turn to safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri in the efforts to close on Faraimo during his visit, who has proven to be an impressive recruiter early in his tenure at Washington.

With deep ties to college football, the former New England Patriots coach understands how to build relationships and has done a good job doing so with a number of prospects in the 2025 class.

During its time at Arizona, Fisch’s coaching staff did a very good job securing talented recruits that helped him turn the program into a dominant team in 2023 and now with more resources in Seattle, will look to rebuild Washington’s roster as it begins its time in the Big Ten.

It won’t be easy, but if the Huskies can find a way to earn a commitment from Faraimo, that could be a great sign for the future of this staff’s prowess on the recruiting trail.
