Washington is emerging as a strong contender for four-star WR Donovan Olugbode

The Washington Huskies have a shot to assemble the nation’s best wide receivers class in 2025.

The Washington Huskies have put together a promising class of wide receivers that could continue to improve in the coming weeks. Position coach Kevin Cummings has added two talented prospects to the 2025 class in Raiden Vines-Bright and Dezmen Roebuck and is in a great position to add two more in the coming weeks.

Four-star Chris Lawson and three-star Deji Ajose both have their commitment dates set and if they end up choosing Washington, would give the Huskies a very talented class. However, it doesn’t appear that Cummings is content with those four.

While the numbers at the position might not make sense at the moment, the Huskies are still in hot pursuit of four-star pass catchers Andrew Marsh and Donovan Olugbode, who are both ranked inside 247Sports’ top 100 prospects and as the nation’s No. 10 and 11 receivers and Washington has a legitimate shot at landing at least one.

On Thursday, Rivals national recruiting expert Adam Gorney submitted his predictions for some of the nation’s top uncommitted prospects and among them was Olugbode, who is down to five schools and was spotted wearing Washington gear at a recent 7on7 event.

Florida, Missouri, Oregon, USC and Washington are the top programs for the four-star receiver from Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy and there could be a surprising leader here,” Gorney said. “The Gators have pushed along with Missouri and others but the Huskies have been getting a lot of chatter recently.”

While the backpack itself doesn’t mean Washington is the leader, between Gorney’s prediction, Cummings’ ability to build relationships, and the peer recruiting from Olugbode’s running mate Vines-Bright, the Huskies appear to be in a great spot to add him to the 2025 class ahead of his commitment in July.
