On Friday, Pro Football Focus’ Max Chadwick released his list of the nation’s top 10 running back rooms for the 2024 season. While the list is unsurprisingly headlined by some of the usual suspects, with Ohio State’s dominant duo of Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson in the top spot, the Washington Huskies are a notable omission who could make their way into the top 10 by the end of the year.
Position coach Scottie Graham’s room has two talented veterans leading the way in senior Cameron Davis and junior Jonah Coleman.
Coleman is among PFF’s highest-graded returning running backs after receiving a 91.3 for his breakout 2023 campaign. He tallied 1,154 scrimmage yards and 6 touchdowns and is expected to step into an even bigger role this year.
After missing the 2023 season with a knee injury, Davis might have some rust to shake off early. Still, after rushing for 4.9 yards per carry and 13 touchdowns in 2022, he could be a key piece of Jedd Fisch’s rushing attack alongside Coleman, much like the combination he formed with Wayne Taulapapa two years ago.
But Graham has more than just those two up his sleeve.
Adam Mohammed is not built like a true freshman.
Very physical runner out of the backfield and he got on the field for a significant amount of time in today’s scrimmage.

The freshman combination of Adam Mohammed and Jordan Washington might not receive a heavy workload right away, but should display a promising display of talent that should have fans clamoring for more in the near future. Washington possesses elite speed, while Mohammed has the physical makeup, vision, and skills between the tackles necessary for a feature back.
If Washington’s offensive line can hold up, the Huskies could find themselves with one of the nation’s best groups of running backs at the end of the season.
