The Washington Football Team has seen enough of 2019 first-round pick quarterback Dwayne Haskins.
The 1-3 WFT announced Wednesday it is benching the former Ohio State star — dropping to third-string — and will start Kyle Allen in Week 5 against the Los Angeles Rams.

There is news on two fronts: Allen starts but Alex Smith has earned the backup role as he continues to come back from the horrific leg injury suffered in 2018.
Haskins is 1-3 as a starter and 3-8 overall. He has completed 59.6% of his passes in the NFL with 11 TDs and 10 picks.
Allen played for Ron Rivera in Carolina in 2018 and ’19 before the current WFT coach was fired during last season.
