Washington earns commitment from in-state DB D’Aryhian Clemons

Washington secured their fifth commitment of the last two days, adding three-star cornerback D’Aryhian Clemons from in-state Spanaway Lake.

Washington’s roll on the recruiting trail continued Monday with their second in-state commitment in as many days.

Spanaway Lake defensive back D’Aryhian Clemons, the no. 6 player in Washington according to the 247Sports composite rankings, announced his commitment to the Huskies on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday.

Clemons was among the weekend’s visitorsvisitors and is now the fifth member of that slate to commit to Washington. Wide receiver Dezmen Roebuck, edge rusher Victor Sanchez Hernandez, and linebacker Donovan Robinson committed on Sunday.

Four-star tight end Baron Naone joined the fold Monday morning.

A three-sport athlete with letters in football, basketball, and track, Clemons has run as fast as 10.98 in the 100m and qualified for the Washington state track meet in the high jump with a leap of 6-foot-5.

He has played running back and cornerback at Spanaway Lake, but mentioned corners coach John Richardson by name to 247Sports when he committed, suggesting he’ll start out on defense on Montlake.

Clemons also told 247 that he was initially planning to commit to the Huskies after the Pac-12 championship gamePac-12 championship game, but ultimately waited. Washington State made a push before the new staff under Jedd Fisch reaffirmed his offer to join the Huskies.

Asked about his commitment, Clemons told 247Clemons told 247: “It’s home and the chance to play at home is something special…we want to keep all the local kids home and keep building something special here.”
