The Washington Huskies secured a major victory on the 2025 recruiting trail on Thursday, earning a commitment from four-star athlete Dylan Robinson over UCLA and Notre Dame. Robinson, out of Bonita High School in La Verne, California, will likely play cornerback for Washington.
Robinson is the third defensive back to commit to the Huskies from the 2025 class, joining local product D’Aryhian Clemons and Texas corner Ramonz Adams in cornerback coach John Richardson’s room. He visited Montlake on May 31, alongside Husky commits Dash Beierly and Chris Lawson.
Lawson, a wide receiver from San Francisco, told Athlon Sports that Jedd Fisch and company have left the door open for him to play both ways on Montlake. The same could be true for Robinson, who stars on both sides for Bonita, and that selling point may very well have been what tipped the scales in Washington’s favor.
Washington is now up to 22 commitments in the 2025 class and is ranked No. 17 in the country by 247Sports thanks to Robinson, the No. 8 athlete and No. 198 overall player in the site’s rankings. It’s shaping up to be a strong first full recruiting cycle for Fisch and his staff, as that ranking would already be the best mark at Washington in the 2020s.
Robinson’s commitment also helps with an impending youth movement at cornerback, with Ephesians Prysock a threat to leave for the NFL after the 2024 season and Elijah Jackson and Thaddeus Dixon’s eligibility clocks running low.
