Washington adds commitment from three-star WR Dezmen Roebuck

The Washington Huskies added a second commitment on Sunday from three-star wide receiver Dezmen Roebuck.

The Washington Huskies have been looking for momentum on the recruiting trail and things are moving in the right direction for coach Jedd Fisch. After three-star edge rusher Victor Sanchez Hernandez announced his intentions to stay home, three-star wide receiver Dezmen Roebuck made his commitment just 10 minutes later.

A late addition to Washington’s group of official visitors, the 5-foot-10, 170-pound pass catcher reeled in 121 catches for 1,332 yards and 8 touchdowns during his junior season at Marana High School in Arizona, where he’s ranked by 247Sports as the No. 11 player in the state.

Even though he didn’t officially report a scholarship offer until he announced his commitment, Roebuck has developed a strong bond with wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings, who also offered him a scholarship during his time at Arizona.

“What stood out to me was really just the coaching staff,” Roebuck told 247Sports’ Blair Angulo. “They recruited me when they were at Arizona and coach Cummings, coach Fisch and the whole staff made it feel like home right when I stepped on campus.”

Washington’s coaching staff has a plan on how it will deploy Roebuck in the offense once he enrolls.

“They see me fitting into the scheme similar to how they used Dorian Singer over at Arizona,” Roebuck said to Angulo. “They used him both inside at slot and on the outside.”

Roebuck has impressive ball-tracking skills and is very good at high-pointing the football. As he continues to grow and add strength to his frame, he could be an intriguing addition to the 2025 class.
