Advice and prediction

We don’t yet know what we’re going to see from the 2020-21 Warriors – will they struggle to keep up in the race for the last playoff spots in the West, or can Steph Curry carry the team and keep them relevant? My early feeling is that the Warriors are in for another long year, and they’re starting the year off on the road against a loaded team expected to be a Finals contender. The Nets should have the star-power and the depth to easily handle the Warriors, and with Kevin Durant looking like his old self, I’m confidently taking Nets -7.5.

The over/under line seems high – the Nets hit over 232.5 once in the preseason, and the Warriors came well under in each of their three games. I don’t expect this game to be incredibly close, so even if the Nets explode for 125 points, you still might not win with an over bet. Take the under 232.5.

Prediction: Nets 117, Warriors 98
