Despite injuries to James Wiseman, Kevon Looney and Eric Paschall, the limited lineup of only nine active players produced one of the Golden State Warriors’ top efforts of the season in a blowout 147-116 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Thursday night.
With seven different members of the Warriors scoring in double-figures, Kelly Oubre Jr. led the way with an explosive career-high 40 points on 14-of-21 shooting from the field in 36 minutes against Luka Doncic and the Mavs. Steph Curry followed Oubre Jr. with another solid effort, scoring 28 points on 4-of-10 shooting from the field with six assists. While Oubre and Curry handled the scoring, Draymond Green helped move the ball, dishing 15 of Golden State’s 37 assists in Dallas.
As the second leg of a two-contest “baseball series” in Texas is slated for Saturday, the Warriors won’t have to wait long to run it back against the Mavericks.
