Last season, the Warriors played the Lakers four times, dropping three games to the purple and gold, including a star-studded battle in the first western conference play-in game.
While the Warriors added veterans like Andre Iguodala and Otto Porter Jr. in free agency, and rookies Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody in the draft, the Lakers and LeBron James have been busy during free agency.
Adding to a rotation that features James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers brought in Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and a flurry of other proven free agents. The Warriors won’t have to wait long to meet the new-look Lakers.
Prior to Golden State’s opening in Hollywood, the defending champion Milwaukee Bucks will host Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets in a rematch of their epic eastern conference playoff battle.
