Warriors to fly to Miami to watch G League Ignite prospect Jonathan Kuminga work out

The Golden State Warriors are slated to fly to Miami to watch G League Ignite prospect Jonathan Kuminga before the draft.

As the draft gets closer, the Golden State Warriors are checking all of their final homework boxes before coming on the clock with the No. 7 and No. 14 picks on July 29.

After working out a flurry of top prospects, including Davion Mitchell, Keon Johnson and Moses Moody, the Warriors will travel to watch G League Ignite prospect Jonathan Kuminga.

According to Cody Taylor of USA TODAY’s Rookie Wire, the Warriors will venture to Miami to watch Kuminga before draft day.

After becoming a consensus five-star recruit in high school, Kuminga opted to join the G League Ignite team with other top prospects like Jalen Green and Isaiah Todd. During his high school campaign, Kuminga received offers from Duke, Kentucky, Texas Tech and Auburn.

While in the G League bubble with Brian Shaw’s Ignite team, Kuminga averaged 15.8 points on 38.7% shooting from the floor with 7.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 32.8 minutes per contest.
