Warriors: Steve Kerr provides injury update on Moses Moody

Kerr confirmed that Moody suffered a right shoulder injury on Wednesday and is considered to be day-to-day.

Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said rookie Moses Moody is considered day-to-day due to a right shoulder injury suffered Wednesday in a loss to the Boston Celtics.

Moody suffered the injury early in the second quarter after attempting to box out Grant Williams on defense. He came up holding his right shoulder in discomfort after the sequence and went to the locker room afterward. He did not return.

The 14th pick did not practice with the Warriors on Friday but avoided any structural damage to his shoulder, according to Kerith Burke of NBC Sports Bay Area.

The injury to Moody came a few minutes before Stephen Curry exited with left foot soreness. Curry was injured when Marcus Smart lunged into his leg while chasing after a loose ball. Curry underwent an MRI and was diagnosed with a sprained left foot ligament.

Curry will miss at least the next two weeks of action.

The Warriors were progressing toward getting back to full strength after Draymond Green returned on Monday following a two-month absence. They are also expected to get James Wiseman back soon but will now be forced to move on without Curry and Moody for now.

Golden State will host the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday before beginning a five-game East Coast road trip Tuesday in Orlando. The team will be short-handed but is confident others on the roster can step up.
